You’re one of three people poking at this before anyone else sees it. Below is what to try, what to expect, and what’s deliberately incomplete.
- 1Sign in
Tap Begin and sign in with Google.
ExpectYou should land on a personalized home page with your name and 0 saves.
- 2Capture a screenshot
Go to Capture, Screenshot tab, upload a travel photo from your camera roll — anywhere you've been or want to go. HEIC/HEIF from iPhone and Samsung both work.
ExpectWithin ~10 seconds you should see a success card with the destination, city + country, vibe phrase, mood, place type, and a few key details. If your upload was a 'clean' travel photo, you may get a choice between your photo and a partner photo — pick whichever you want as the vault hero.
FlagIf the destination is wrong or weirdly specific, that's the kind of feedback I need most. Use the 'Fix something before saving' button right on the result card (see task 4).
- 3Capture a URL or video
Go to Capture and try one of: URL tab with a travel article (Lonely Planet, NYT Travel, Booking.com), URL tab with a YouTube travel video, or Video tab with a TikTok you've downloaded to your phone.
ExpectSame success card as task 2, with a real photo from the source (or a frame from the video).
FlagTikTok URLs now redirect you to the Video tab with a one-tap switch — the caption alone usually isn't enough. Instagram URLs still fail honestly rather than guessing. Tell me if either is confusing.
- 4Fix a wrong extraction
If task 2 or 3 got the destination wrong, tap 'Fix something before saving' on the result card. Tell us in plain English what's actually in the photo (e.g. 'this is Sunrise, FL not Boca Raton'). We re-run extraction with your hint.
ExpectThe result card updates in place with the corrected fields. If we still can't figure it out, you'll see an 'I don't know' option to save it as Untitled.
FlagIf we make it WORSE on a second try (more specifically wrong), tell me — that's a real failure mode we're tracking. The same correction surface exists from /vault on the capture's detail page later.
- 5Open your Vault + filters
Tap Vault in the bottom nav. Try the vibe pills (Quiet, Active, Cultural, Food) and region pills (Europe, Asia, Americas).
ExpectCards show 'City, Country'. Tap any card for full details. Two filters compound.
FlagIf a card has no photo (gradient only), tell me which destination.
- 6Edit or delete from a capture
Open any capture's detail page. Scroll to find 'Something off? Let us fix it.' to edit, or the danger zone to delete. Delete is a two-tap confirmation.
ExpectEdit goes through the same correction flow as task 4. Delete removes the capture from your vault immediately.
FlagDelete is soft — I can restore it for you if you misclick. Tell me if the two-tap confirmation feels right, too aggressive, or not enough.
- 7Capture 2-3 more
Save 2-3 more things you actually care about. The point isn't to fill the database — the point is to feel whether you'd come back to your Vault later.
ExpectNo defined outcome here. This is the question I most need answered: would you actually open this app again next week?
- Does the AI get the destination right the first time?
- When it's wrong, does the correction loop actually fix it on the second try — or does it get more confidently wrong?
- Is the Vault useful enough that you'd come back to it?
- Where does the flow feel slow, broken, or confusing?
- If you'd add one thing to make this actually useful when planning a real trip — what is it?
- No itinerary generation. You can’t ask it to plan a trip from your saves — that’s the next major feature. For now this is capture + organize only.
- Instagram URLs still fail. Instagram blocks automated reads. The app refuses honestly rather than guess. Save the photo or video to your phone and upload directly.
- Some extractions are still wrong. The AI recently got better at refusing to invent details it can’t back up with evidence — but real-world signs and landmarks still trip it (a sign for one place referenced in a photo of another place, for example). The correction flow in task 4 is the safety net. Use it.
